"For most of my life, I knew at some level that much of my life wasn't working for me.  I was doing everything I was "suppose" to do, and on the outside everything looked "normal".  The truth is that I was relatively to severely miserable most of the time.  Through the gift of my own depression, I began a search for what would make my life extraordinary as opposed to the life I had been leading.  My belief, and healing methodology is that there is nothing "wrong" with any of us.  We're not broken; we don't need to be fixed.  But from that place you can re-create any part of your life that is not working for you, regardless of your past experiences.  And that process, although requiring much courage, can open up possibilities for your life that before weren't even imaginable.  You and your life will become unrecognizable to you."

"For you to have an amazing life is a gift that you not only owe yourself...but the world."

Who are we?  Why are we here?  Where are we going?  These are questions I have struggled with over the years.  I have come to believe that we are the sum of our experiences and it is our perception of these experiences that influences our contentment with our life state.  The human condition is one of many struggles and there is a powerful need for approval, understanding and a sense of belonging.  Through our relationships with others, we can fulfill many of our basic needs.  I strive to develop genuine, stable relationships with my clients based upon mutual respect and trust.  I try to assist clients with establishing goals and work alongside the clients to achieve those goals.  My approach is primarily relationship driven and it is an important aspect of my therapy.  For more information, please visit my personal website at www.mymomentcounseling.com.  My phone number is (512) 306-0305.

“There have certainly been a handful of moments in my life that forever changed the trajectory of my path; some more pleasant than others.  Perhaps it is not enough to simply “survive” these moments and hope the pieces somehow go back to the way the were before, but instead to seize these moments as opportunities to improve the ways in which we experience our world.  My aim is to create an environment of calm for my clients.  Once calm, our goal will be to convert their sensations, thoughts and feelings to language that will allow me to appreciate their situation.  We can then begin to move the entire mind, body, and spirit down a path that will walk through the obstacles that confront them…and not around the obstacles.  I will join you in real time experiences so that the work you do becomes completely engrained in your life, and not just words in a therapy session.  I would be happy to join you in your willingness to seize a moment in your life.  For more information about me and my approach to this work, please visit www.findmyshine.com.”
